Some time ago I wrote an article about DISTRUPTION coming to the building industry.

Well the momentum is starting to build, with a number of developers showing a keen interest in the benefits of precision built modular housing construction. Australian market share of modular construction currently sits at 3% and is expected to jump up to 10% by 2020. Whilst that represents good growth, it lags behind some of the countries in the northern hemisphere who boast up to 80% of construction being modular! Both Developers and Builders have acknowledged that modular construction is definitely the way of the future and for us it means that we are at the precipice of a new era in housing.

Developers are looking at “Build to Rent” opportunities as more and more people are happy to rent in quality areas that they just cannot afford to buy into.
